Financial Accountant:
The Financial Accountant, who will be fully qualified, prepares year-end accounts with full back-up files for audit, annual and five-year budgets, business plans in consultation with relevant parties and provides financial management reporting at Board, Committee and management level. They will prepare monthly management accounts and produce written reports, easily understandable by the lay reader, to accompany the financial information. They will also report quarterly, semi-annually and annually as appropriate to the financial institutions and funding agencies with whom the Association has a relationship.
Finance Officer (Rents):
As a member of the finance team, the Finance Officer (Rents) will oversee the collection of rents and factoring income by the staff at the front desk. They will record revenues received by post, reconcile funds received to the financial accounting system and prepare bankings for collection by a security company. They will maintain a close working relationship with Housing Services staff to ensure accuracy of clients’ accounts; deal with requests to amend direct debits; allocate housing benefit payments to appropriate tenants’ rent accounts; and maintain and reconcile the housing management and operating cash book on a daily and monthly basis respectively.
